Elite Medical Equipment found it’s beginning when an orthopedic surgeon from Colorado Springs could not find a cast cutter on the U.S. market that was both user and patient friendly. The majority of the cast cutters on the market at the time were large, loud and un-maneuverable instruments that were very intimidating towards patients. This lack of cast cutter research and design in the market forced Elite Medical Equipment to begin producing cast cutters that were in-part designed by an orthopedic surgeon with patient’s and user’s well-being in mind.
